Leave Miley Alone!

Hey guys, for my first post im going to talk about Miley Cyrus and all this controversy surrounding her.
Ive read some really harsh things about this teen.
Up until a few days ago I actually probably wouldve agree with all the people branding her a "slut" or a "brat" or even a "bitch."
Lately after the release of her music video for her new single "Cant Be Tamed", these names have been associated with her more frequently.
When the video was released on May 5th 2010 many people were shocked at Mileys performance in the video. In case you havent seen the video here are some pictures that will probably help you understand why this video shocked many people.

The lyrics go a little like this...
"I go through guys like money flyin’ out their hands
They try to change me but they realize they can’t
And every tomorrow is a day I never planned
If you’re gonna be my man, understand...."

 Now its pretty obvious what Miley is trying to do here...Shes trying to break away from the whole Hannah Montana thing....and who can blame her?! Shes 17 years old. I dont think anyone of that age would still want to play a school girl by day/ popstar by night on disney channel for a bunch of 9 year olds! But i think maybe for her first breakout video she could have toned it down a little as alot of her fans are still 8-13 year old girls.

Moving on....
After Miley released this video she went on to do a string performances, one of them being at London's infamous G-A-Y club as well as one at the MuchMusic Awards 2010. Pictures Like these became more and more frequent.

   

Miley has defended such pictures by saying "I'm just having fun and I'm doing what I love, which is performing so I do that in the way I feel most comfortable...that's again like me saying I don't take myself too seriously."

She added, “I work really hard to be fit and to know I can wear whatever makes me feel most comfortable, and I feel most comfortable dressing with a little less.”

Anyyhooooooooooooo.....
In 2007 Miley posted a picture of her and a female friend sharing a piece of liqourice. Miley came under fire from this picture as people said that she was setting a bad example for her young fans.
Miley defended herself by saying: "For me, I was like, That's two girls—it's not a big deal. But they got spread around. Like someone copied and pasted and said, Omigod, look at this, and blah blah blah."

Seriously?????? Someone took these pictures from her PRIVATE MYSPACE ACCOUNT. Obviously Miley should have expected this but doesnt anyone else feel sorry for this girl? Most teenage girls would post this picture and get away with it but Miley had to come out and apologise for them? :s Its not as if her and the girl are making out their lips arent even touching!

 

Anyways later on in 2008 Someone hacked Mileys Gmail account and leaked several provocative pictures of her in her bikini. Again Miley came under fire from critics and concerned parents. Miey defended herself and described the images as "silly, inappropriate shots" and stated, "I am going to make mistakes and I am not perfect. I never intended for any of this to happen and I am truly sorry if I have disappointed anyone."

WTF?! If you look at the pictures theyre not even that bad. She simply rolled her shirt up and pouted trying to pull a sexy face. Uhhhhh most teenagers post pictures of themselves half naked of myspace. This girl had a few pictures of herself showing her belly and legs on her OWN GMAIL ACCOUNT and she gets slammed for it??

Seriously is this something to get crazy over????? SHES A TEENAGER ITS WHAT THEY DO! -_-

Then came the infamous Teen choice awards performance! Miley was criticized for her "provocative outift" and her brief dance on a pole. Many critics claimed the performance was not age appropriate and gave a bad image to her younger female fans. Would you guys call this pole dancing?

She looks like shes jut having fun performing, she didnt actually do anything slutty so i dont really see what the problem is...

And remember when she gave Adam Shankman that lap dance?

Ok Miley, that was a dumb move :) but shes not the only one to ever do it!

 Her father Billy Ray defended her by saying Miley was just "having fun" and that "it's what people her age do"

And hes right. Loads of girls her age go round doing shit waaaaay worse then that. Remember that girl Akon humped on stage? Yeah she was like...15 o_o

And as for the people that call her ugly? Dont be so harsh man shes just a kid. Besides do you think THIS is ugly?

At the end of the day Miley is just a kid. She makes mistakes like all kids do, but with her the only difference is when she makes a mistake, EVERYONE KNOWS. All the things shes done in the past, all the mistakes shes made are just that, Mistakes. I think people need to give this poor girl a break and let her be a teenager!
